A woman who was filming a dance video had unknowingly captured a historic moment on camera. She didn’t realize this until her social media followers told her she’s on the news! Wow.
Physical education teacher Khing Hnin Wai regularly films her videos at this location close to the parliament complex in Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar. But she did not expect to capture the historic moment that the military staged a coup after losing the election to state counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi’s party.
It was supposed to be the first day of the new Parliament session, but military vehicles stormed the location and entered the country’s seat of power for a coup.
A number of armored vans and black vehicles stormed to the parliament and could be seen at the background, but the teacher was unfazed as she continued with her dance routine. This led to many netizens commenting that this is truly a meme-worthy moment!
After the video went viral, Khing admitted that she was not concerned about the vehicles rushing at the background because she was intent on making the video for a competition. Though we aren’t so sure whether she will win the dance competition, this teacher certainly won the internet with here video.
Teacher Khing has become the new face of “calm in the face of danger”!
“The background scene and the music kind of match. I was filming the clip for a competition before the morning’s news came out. What a memory!” the teacher said.
