Because other people got their donations first, one woman accused a would-be donor of being ‘paasa’, angering the usually patient and kindhearted owner of Sabrinacio Footwear – main who had been giving away dozens of diapers, boxes of milk, and thousands of pesos to mothers in need.
Shiwen Lim owns Sabrinacio Footwear – main, the Facebook page for the shoe company that has now become the official vlog for the kindhearted businessman. He has figured in a number of viral videos and stories for his generosity, not just to his employees but even to strangers in need.
As the COVID-19 pandemic affected a lot of people, Lim personally roamed the streets with his team to save as many of them as they could. He helped construction workers walking many kilometers towards their home find a ride. He also provided food and relief goods to many others.
Seeing that there are so many mothers asking for help in buying milk and diapers for their babies, Lim decided to give away as much money as he could. Lim has sent money and supplies to dozens of mommies within just a few weeks.
But not everyone was patient enough to wait until they receive the donations. While there are many who patiently repost their entries, in hopes of getting picked on the next batch, there’s one woman who wanted to immediately get the donation that Lim promised.
After seeing that there were a number of mommies who got theirs first, she angrily messaged the page, asking whether they were just trying to give her false hope. The company had already helped so many others, yet this woman dared to question their help and whether they would send her anything or not. Tsk. Tsk.
“Ang hirap din tumulong minsan sana lahat ng tinutulungan namen hindi kamukha ni ate. Parang kame pa masama at parang kasalanan namen bakit po sya naihirapan ngayon. Ang dame nyo pong tinutulungan namen sana maging mainahon lahat dahil misan dina kame natutulog para lang ma cater kayong lahat. Sa kabila ng pagtulong gastos puyat inihinda namen tapos ito lang makukuha namen 😞,” the page posted.
This is so sad. In this time of great need, it is wonderful that people like Lim are going out of their way to help so many people. If only this woman was patient, she would have gotten help as well…
