After getting pranked by some ‘tambays’ who burned his balloons while he was sleeping, 29-year-old Oliver Rosales suffered multiple burns on his arms and legs. This made it difficult for him to move or even sit down on his own. He can’t also eat by himself or go to the bathroom/toilet without assistance.
While the incident happened in Pandacan, Manila, he found help from the local government unit (LGU) of Mandaluyong where he resides. The LGU rushed him to the hospital and promised to pay for his medical bills, even providing him with medicines and other needs. This earned them praise from Raffy Tulfo who decided to act on the vendor’s case due to popular public demand.
The vendor admitted that he accepted the money offered by the parents to settle the matter and pay for his medications because he took pity on them as they were crying. Plus, he is not rich and could definitely make use of the money for his medical needs.
But Tulfo told him that he should not worry about a thing because he will provide the vendor with new livelihood so he wouldn’t have to go back to selling balloons. Moreover, Tulfo will give him money equivalent to what the parents gave him so he could return that to them – then, the veteran broadcaster promised to give him even ten times that amount and also help him file a case against the ‘tambays’.
Justice will prevail for this poor vendor who did nothing to the young men but they burned his balloons and him as well, just because they thought it would be a good prank. With Tulfo now ready to assist him, netizens are hoping that the vendor will truly file a case against these kids to teach them a lesson and to seek justice for what happened to him…
Here’s the video from Tulfo:
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno is also on the case now. He vows to also help the vendor seek justice…
