These days, as COVID-19 continues to affect the entire world, a lot of governments are implementing online classes to keep students and teachers safe.
But with online classes requiring some sort of gadget, particularly those with capabilities to take photos and send assignments or projects to teachers, a lot of students are having a hard time joining the lessons. Many are worried that they won’t be able to attend school this year.
A student of the College of Architecture and Fine Arts at the Technological University of the Philippines – Manila (TUP), John Christian A. Turla is seeking help from netizens to buy a gadget so his best friend and classmate, Adrian Erestain, could attend online school.
Lauching “Piso Para sa Cellphone” for Adrian, John explained that their classmate used to borrow their gadgets since the first semester so he could pass assignments or projects. While that was fine with them, it is difficult for them to do that for Adrian now that the COVID-19 crisis is forcing everyone to stay at home.

With classes being done online, the friends can’t lend their gadgets to Adrian. So, John has sought the help of netizens so that their classmate and best friend can attend school.
John even promised to buy his friend’s cellphone load every week, just as long as netizens can help him buy a gadget he can use for school.
Kudos to these young students…
