Sarah’s Bodyguard Asked Php1.5 Million in ‘Damages’, Settles for Php200k

Jerry Tamara, the personal bodyguard of Sarah Geronimo, reportedly asked for Php1.5 million in ‘damages’ after getting allegedly hit by Matteo Guidicelli in the scuffle during the now much-publicized ‘secret wedding’ of the two stars.

But the bodyguard would later settle for ‘just Php200k’ and apologized to Raffy Tulfo for accepting the cash offered by Viva Entertainment through Vic “Boss Vic” del Rosario Jr., claiming that his wife ‘was afraid’.

It can be recalled that it was Jerry who revealed the ‘secret wedding’ of Sarah and Matteo after he filed a blotter at the police station, alleging that Matteo had hit his throat for telling Mommy Divine their whereabouts.

The newlyweds had kept the wedding a secret from Mommy Divine because they knew she would try to stop it from happening. Sadly, they were right. But the good thing is that the scuffle happened after the wedding had taken place – the two are now legally and rightfully married, much to Mommy Divine’s anger.

The scuffle reportedly began when she arrived at the restaurant where the newlyweds were celebrating the reception with Matteo’s family and some choice friends from the church as well as closest ones in the showbiz industry.

Even Sarah’s manager, Boss Vic, wasn’t present at the wedding but was called to the reception venue during the scuffle to help settle matters.

Despite witnesses saying Matteo didn’t punch anyone, the bodyguard reported that Matteo hit him in the neck. After filing a blotter and getting a medical certificate, Jerry would seek help from Raffy Tulfo who promised to help as much as he could.

But while the bodyguard asked for Php1.5 million in ‘damages’ so he could ‘start again’, Boss Vic could only offer him Php100,000 in a closed-door meeting at the office of Viva Entertainment in Ortigas, Pasig City. The bodyguard managed to up the amount to Php200,000; though he later said that he would have been alright with no cash settlement at all if he could just talk with the newlyweds.

Raffy Tulfo in Action later reported that they could no longer contact Jerry but Boss Vic confirmed that they had already paid him the Php200,000 settlement.

Sana maayos na ito Raffy kasi si Sarah ang naapektuhan diyan, e. Siyempre, pati problema sa nanay niya hindi pa naayos, tapos ito pa,” Boss Vic said.

Later, the bodyguard texted the show to apologize and explain why he was no longer accepting their calls…
