A number of restaurants have showed their support and give thanks to health workers amid the COVID-19 outbreak by sending nearby hospitals with free food packs and takeout items.
In ‘bayanihan’ style, restaurants like the Kanto Freestyle and Zark’s Burgers have sent dozens of food packs to frontline health care workers.
News5 shared photos taken by Vincent Juanta of the tocilog and lechon kawali food packs prepared by the Kanto Freestyle group for health workers. The food packs even had special notes to thank them for their sacrifice and dedication to ensure the safety of the people.
Aside from Kanto Freestyle, Zark’s Burgers also did a similar thing as they sent dozens of free burgers to nearby hospitals. Just like the other restaurant, they also did this to thank to hospital workers for the sacrifice.
“Hats off to all our Filipino frontline healthcare providers who are working hard through these challenging times. 🍔🙏
We sent burgers to nearby hospitals as a way to thank them for tirelessly and selflessly ensuring everyone’s safety amid COVID-19.
Thank you all for your service. Saludo kami sa inyo, Zarkada!
Be safe. Let’s help one another. ❤️
This too shall pass! 🙏 #WereAllinThisTogether”
With so many people blaming the government and the president or even some hospitals for the outbreak in the Philippines, it is nice to see that there are still those who bank of the spirit of ‘bayanihan’ to help each other this time of need.
Kudos to the teams from these two restaurants for the free food they gave the health workers! For sure, there are also many others like them who have also provided food and other needs for the heroes in these difficult times, the health workers who are really the frontliners in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Salute to everyone!
