Policeman in Pangasinan Saves Two Women Amid Fury at Policeman in Tarlac Slay

While netizens are furious at the policeman involved in the Tarlac slay, another one has redeemed the name of the Philippine National Police (PNP) after he saved the lives of two women in Pangasinan.

Patrolman Rey Manandeg of the Tourist Police has earned praise on social media after his heroic deed while assigned at Lingayen Baywalk in Lingayen, Pangasinan. According to the policeman, he was just patrolling the area when he heard shouts from the distance of people asking for help.

He immediately ran to the beach to check the commotion. Upon learning that two women were swept out to sea and were struggling in the deep water off the coast of Lingayen Beach, the policeman did not hesitate to jump in and save them.

Thanks to his swift action, the two women were saved. Other people rushed to their aid and helped the policeman bring the two ladies to shore. Thankfully, both were unharmed. The two were immediately brought to the nearest hospital for treatment using the police patrol car.

His actions earned praise on social media, especially because it came at the heels of the Tarlac slay involving a hot-heated policeman.

Many netizens also defended the police force, pointing out that though there are quite a number of bad apples in the PNP, there are also a lot of good ones who do not hesitate to help others in need. Everyone hopes that Patrolman Manandeg would truly serve as an inspiration to many.
