Proving that it really is possible to find love in the most unexpected places, a couple recently went viral after sharing how they fell in love at a routine police checkpoint and got married a year later.
One day, Moh Amir Cruz Saddaramil was doing routine police work called ‘Oplan Sita’.
Clarisse Lazaro Jao Saddaramil would later share on Facebook that was the first person to pass the checkpoint.
Clarisse, a teacher, would later share that she was quite angry at the time for being the first one to be at the checkpoint. In her anger, she forgot to ask his name or even look as his name plate but she remembered his face.
But Amir had apparently fallen in love with the teacher at that very moment – and soon found her profile on Facebook.
Surprised that the policeman had remembered her name and actually took the effort to find her on Facebook, Clarisse also felt somewhat flattered by the attention she got.
Who would have thought that a year later, they would get married, huh? Their unique love story recently went viral after this was shared by Facebook page, Buhay Lespu.

Isn’t that cute? Netizens think so, too!
“Kaya kapag nakakita kayo [ng] checkpoint wag kayo matakot😂 malay niyo andon pala yung tadhana niyo😂,” the page joked in the comments section.
A lot of netizens also joked that they would surely go to checkpoints now, because they might find their true love waiting for them there…
