In life, there are people who help us without asking for anything in return. These people even help us succeed in life, sometimes not even knowing that they have done us a big favor!
The police chief of Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, recently reunited with the old woman who used to give him food as a kid. The sweet reunion went viral, with many people admiring the police chief for not forgetting the old woman who had been part of his childhood and had helped provide him food.
Police Chief Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal recalls an old woman who used to give him food when he was young. He vividly recalls the woman, identified as Madam Ah Siong, often giving him paus (Chinese buns) he could eat.
He enjoyed the paus that Madam Ah gave him – and that had made such an impact in his life that recently, the police chief thought of what he could do to give back to this kind old lady. Together with some colleagues, he went to Madam Ah’s house in Sungai Way.
Bringing some paus and a box of face masks as gift, Police Chief Nik arrived at the house to surprise Madam Ah. She was puzzled as to why there are policemen in her house, but soon realized that one of her visitors was the kid she used to give some paus to!
It turned out that though the young man had been busy as he was growing up, Madam Ah had ‘followed’ him through the years and even had plenty of newspaper clippings about his achievements! Madam Ah felt that she is like a second mom to the once curious kid who visited her home to enjoy some paus.
Police Chief Nik promised that he would come back again to visit Madam Ah. It’s a sweet reunion for the two, with Madam Ah thankful that he still had not forgotten about her despite now being the police chief in their hometown…
