Manny Pacquiao is one of the world’s best boxers, having proven this by becoming the only eight-division world champion in the history of boxing, with eleven world titles to his name.
But with his immense success in the boxing world that took him from rags to riches, many fans and boxing analysts were wondering whether his children have interest in boxing at all and if they wanted to be boxers, would the “Pacman” give his permission?
Recently, sportscaster Dyan Castillejo shared a video of Pacquaio’s son, Emmanuel ‘Jimuel’ Pacquiao Jr., engaged in the sport – and it seems that he has inherited his dad’s prowess in the boxing ring!
“Emmanuel ‘Jimuel’ Pacquiao Jr aggressive in Rd 1 knocks down opponent schoolmate Lucas Carson. It was an action packed bout of just 2 rounds with entire team Pacquiao supporting Jimuel who dreams to represent Phils in the future. #itsintheblood #boxing,” Castillejo wrote on her Instagram account.
Indeed, boxing appears to be in this kid’s blood as he moved in the ring akin to his dad’s style! Perhaps Jimuel easily copies his dad’s style in the ring or he was truly born to be a boxer. Another probable reason is that he’s got Team Pacquiao behind his back, providing training and even supporting him during the match!
It certainly is cool to have the entire Team Pacquiao in full support of this young boxer during the match; though his dad was not there to watch the fight in person.
Pacquiao was only able to watch the match through a video call, but that was probably fine as the poor opponent was surely already nervous about fighting the boxing champ’s son – and would surely be more intimidated if Pacquiao was there to watch the match! Whew.
Good job, Jimuel! We hope to you see win a gold medal in the Olympics soon…
