Mom, Netizens Confused Over School Module’s Question on ‘Tunog ng Eroplano’

One mom got confused over the question about the ‘tunog ng eroplano’ (sound of an airplane) on her son’s school module. But after she posted about it on social media, most netizens were also stumped over the question and her post quickly went viral…

Kristine Joy Rivera, 25, was just trying to help her son with his lessons but she got confused by one of the questions regarding the sound of an airplane.

The students are told to look at the drawing (of an airplane) and choose what sound it makes, using the following choices:

  1. weng – weng – weng
  2. eng – eng – eng
  3. wii – wii – wii
  4. pipip – pipip – pipip

Kristine Joy’s son is a Grade 1 student enrolled in the Rizal provincial government’s special education program. Both of them had no idea what the answer might be. Stumped over the question, she asked her husband but he didn’t know either.

Even Kristine Joy’s nieces and nephews had no idea. Thinking that she might find help on the internet, Kristine Joy decided to post her son’s module question on her Facebook account. The response was quite overwhelming, however, as netizens were also stumped over the correct answer!

But she admitted that she didn’t expect that the post would go viral. She was really just asking a question.

But now that the post has gone viral, people are still debating over the right answer – and Kristine Joy has still to pick which one she thinks is the best…
