No matter how hard we wish for all our relationships to work and for the other person to be our partner forever, things don’t always go as planned. Relationships don’t always go according to plan. And while it would hurt a lot, couples might have to break up and give themselves a chance to find the one meant to be their forever love.
Of course, there are people who could easily move on from a break-up and find a new love. Yet there are also so many who spend many months crying, moping, and feeling like it’s the end of the world.
Jeune Paulian Paran, nicknamed “Yanni”, from Iligan City, southern Philippines, had a hard time accepting her break-up with her ex-boyfriend. She spent many weeks crying, and moping, and simply feeling so bad about the situation.
Thankfully, she has good friends who became a part of her moving on stage. The 24-year-old Yanni who works as operations assistant found strength in her co-workers who also became her barkada. They teased her a lot about the break-up just to make her smile; yet they also gave her words of encouragement to help her overcome her ordeal.
Some 5 months later, her friends noticed that she does not mope around anymore. She’s now a happy woman and would not really mind them anymore if they tease her.
So, the friends decided to celebrate the moment by pranking Yanni with a tarpaulin. It read, “CONGRATULATIONS Yanni Paran for successfully MOVING ON with your past relationship. We are so proud of you!”
“I can’t explain how I felt. I didn’t know if I should be crying or laughing. It was a mixed emotion. I kept the tarpaulin at my room as a remembrance,” Yanni admitted.
It’s so hilarious! But it was also a nice gesture from her friends, and a not-so-gentle reminder that she should not dwell on that past relationship so she can be happy again. Who knows? She might just find her true love now that she’s finally free, huh?
