Catriona Gray is certainly one of the most popular faces of this generation, particularly after she won the coveted Miss Universe crown. For sure, anyone or any company planning on hiring her as the brand’s latest ambassador would be paying a high fee, because she’s a famous face.
But did you know that Catriona actually had a lot of commercials already? Wait, what?
A lot of netizens were quite surprised to learn that Catriona already had a lot of commercials before she became Miss Universe – but many did not recognize her at all! Now that she won the crown and became one of the world’s most famous beauty queens, people look back on those commercials with much surprise.
Netizen Richmond Tyndall compiled several of Catriona’s commercials into one video that would soon go viral on Facebook, gaining over 3.7 million views in just 2 days.
The video became so viral because a lot of Filipinos just could not believe that they had seen these commercials so many times in the past but had no idea they were watching Catriona in the ads.
Of course, we could not blame netizens for not recognizing Catriona in the ads. After all, not everyone is fond of watching the local beauty pageants; though many of them would readily support the Philippines’ bet in international competitions.
It was pointed out that Catriona had already represented the Philippines in Miss World but because she did not win, many quickly forgot her face and her name until she finally won the crown as Miss Universe.
Watching the video by Tyndall, many netizens were really surprised that a lot of Catriona’s commercials were lead roles. However, she did have some that were minor roles where she was only shown for a couple of seconds.
The commercial for Myra (a beauty product for women!) even focused more on Xian Lim than Catriona, choosing to just show glimpses of her face and more of her skin. Ouch. We bet the brand is going to get a better one now that she’s Miss Universe!
mapapasabi ka nalang ng "hala gago, sya pala yon?!"
