What’s worse, they lost the old man they were rushing to the ER, but the traffic enforcer allegedly refused to apologize to Tatay Magno’s family because he believes he was just doing his job.

According to Melodina, Tatay Magno could not walk far because he has no legs. So, when he complained of severe stomachache and wanted to be rushed to the ER, she tried to find a taxi to bring him there.\

She got one from across the street; the guy was on his way home but agreed to help after learning about Tatay Magno’s condition. He made a U-turn to quickly go to Tatay Magno and bring him to the hospital.

It turned out that this was in a “No U-turn” area; thus, the traffic enforcer stopped them, explained Brgy. Captain Hector Reyes. Simply said, Labramonte was really just doing his job. However, despite repeated please from Melodina and the family for the traffic enforcer to let them go this one time because they it was an emergency, the guy reportedly told them he knows what’s an emergency and his assessment of the situation is that it wasn’t one.

Labramonte called for an ambulance but it arrived about 30 minutes later. While waiting, the family continued to ask for their release so they could bring Tatay Magno to the ER, yet Labramonte also continued to refuse.

The ambulance was a better way to transport Tatay Magno, of course, but time was essential to save his life. Sadly, the family lost him.
