His shoes were only held together by scotch tape, but one delivery rider who continues to work amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) received a wonderful surprise from one of his customers: a free pair of shoes! Wow.
Online shoe seller Zhang Wang shared the story of how she and her husband, Mark Wang, shared a pair of their bestseller Nike Air Max 270 to one of their regular delivery riders. The story touched so many people’s hearts that some even gave extra stuff to the rider, including another customer who recognized him from the viral post and gave him rice.
According to Zhang, this particular delivery rider from J&T, a logistics company, goes to their house on a daily basis to pick up deliveries of their shoe products. One day, they noticed that his shoes were wrapped with scotch tape.
Without second thought, Mark made the delivery rider sit and asked for his shoe size. Then, Zhang told Mark it would be a great idea to give the rider a pair of Nike Air Max 270 because it is their bestseller! Sure enough, the rider was so happy with their choice and was beaming from ear to ear as he tried the new pair on.
They gave him the new pair of shoes for free – no further questions asked, no exchange deals for free deliveries in the future. Isn’t that wonderful?
