Couple Held for ‘Suspicious’ Luggage at Airport, Finds Stowaway Cat Who Wants to Go on Vacation

A cat stows away in a couple’s luggage, leading them to have some trouble while going through airport security who held them for their ‘suspicious’ luggage – and netizens find that truly hilarious!

Nick Coole and his wife were heading to New York to celebrate his 40th birthday. Since they planned on doing a lot of shopping for souvenirs and stuff, they packed light. What they didn’t know is that one of three cats decided the space they left for the shopping items was enough for a cat to stowaway and go on a vacation! LOL.

The couple had no idea that their cat had squeezed in the bag when they left for the airport. Thus, they were greatly surprised when they got held at the airport for having a ‘suspicious’ luggage.

Airport security were all very puzzled and repeatedly asked if the bag was ours after it has been through the scanner,” Coole recalled.

They knew they had done nothing wrong; but would soon realize what’s actually happening.

Anxious that they might miss their flight, Coole and his wife tried their best to think what might have gone wrong.

We were taken into a private room where my wife flagged, ‘I bet it’s a cat. It’s the only thing it can be!’” Coole added.

That sorted the matter out quickly as the couple explained that 5-year-old Candy loves to go on ‘adventures’ but they didn’t realize it hid in their luggage.

The couple shared that there had been times when Candy gets lost, only for them to find her a town or two away as the feline must have secretly hitched a ride from neighbors or other vehicles that happened to stop near their home.

Thankfully for the couple, they didn’t miss their flight! Friends rushed to the airport to pick up the little stowaway so they could go in a cat-free birthday trip to New York!

But Coole had a good laugh over the experience.

You know that feeling, when you get ushered into a side room at airport security because you’ve got a cat in your hand luggage. Candy decided to sneak into our hand bag, thanks Barry and Lorna for picking her up so we can head off on our holiday. Fair play to airport security for helping to get her home so we could catch our flight,” he posted on Facebook.
