These days, so many restaurants and delivery riders are getting pranked by heartless customers who simply want to have fun. These people are making orders out of boredom, then canceling at the last minute – and often after the rider had already arrived at the delivery address with their food!
Chacha Special Binalot Sa Dahon, a restaurant in San Pedro, Laguna, got an order worth Php1,011 from a customer using the name Reynan Gañete. He wanted the food delivered from 7PM to 8PM. Before 7PM, the restaurant already had the food ready.
The rider was already on the way to the house, just in time for the 7PM delivery but the customer canceled the order at the last minute. The restaurant explained that the order can’t be canceled anymore because they prepared the food just for this customer and the rider was already on the way.
The delivery fee is also just Php50 but losing the order would be a huge blow to the rider.
Yet the customer felt no remorse whatsoever. The customer claimed that they changed their minds about ordering the food and would just have pancit canton for dinner instead. Despite the rider already being at the customer’s house (or possibly a fake delivery address), he did not come out.
Instead, the customer told the restaurant to just let the rider/staff eat the food because he is not paying for it. Told that what he is doing is bad, the customer claimed that he is just a blogger who’s doing this for a living. Tsk. Tsk.
“It’s a prank! Para po sa blog namin hehe. Thank you for being a sport,” the customer wrote.
“Yung rider po naghahanap buhay,” the restaurant pointed out.
“Kami din,” came the heartless reply.
What’s worse, this ‘blogger’ even used the photos of Francis Nico Naparam who commented on the post, saying sorry for what happened but also wanting to clear himself as his pictures were being plastered all over social media as a scammer.
