‘Angkas’ Rider Cries over Fake Booking, Receives Help from Kind GrabFood Riders

An ‘Angkas’ rider was reduced to tears over a fake booking that caused him to lose Php599. He paid for the burger and delivered it to the address, but the customer didn’t show up.

It was already 1:40AM at the time. The guy must have been busy for hours, but when the customer didn’t show up, the delivery guy cried his heart out. Surely, he must already be tired after hours of working but the pranksters didn’t think about how the delivery rider would feel after getting pranked in the wee hours of the morning! Tsk. Tsk.

The incident happened last April 3. Paulino Baro Collo Jr. and other GrabFood riders spotted this ‘Angkas’ rider crying. Knowing that the crying rider is definitely in some kind of trouble, they hurried to his side.

The GrabFood guys took pity on the rider after learning about what happened. They told him to stop crying because Php599 is “just a little thing” and that they are going to help him out. Apparently, these guys had lots of experiences with fake bookings that involved much higher figures!

These kind riders agreed to give the crying rider Php200 each to help him recover the money he lost from the fake booking. Then, they went with him to the restaurant so he could return the item and get his money back.

With the help of these Good Samaritans, the crying rider was smiling again as the restaurant crew accepted the returned item and refunded his money.

Makonsensya naman sana yung mga nagfe-fakebooking dyan. Inaabot kami ng madaling araw para kumita para sa pamilya at makapagserbisyo, wag nyo naman sana kaming pagtripan,” Paulino wrote as he shared the video.
