A group of altar boys have gone viral after treating a homeless man to a makeover and later giving him food as well as clothes. The smile on his face after the makeover is truly priceless!
One of the altar boys, Teotristian Gomez Batutay, shared a series of photos as they gave the old homeless man known as “Totong” to a makeover. The group of altar boys from San Roque Parish in Mawab, Davao de Oro took turns in giving Totong a shave and a haircut to make him look better.
After helping the old man take a bath, the boys provided him with clean clothes – not just enough for one day but several items so he could change and look good in the coming days.
Now that he got cleaned up, the old man actually looked quite handsome and presentable!
The post has gone viral, with many netizens expressing admiration over these young altar boys who are doing their duty to society as servants of the Lord, not just servants of the altar.
When asked why they did it to the old homeless man who is not even related to any one of them, the young boys said that they simply wanted to help him look clean because they took pity on his situation. While the boys can’t always do this for Totong or other street dwellers in the city, it is nice that they were able to make him look and feel good, even for just a day.
God bless you, boys!
