Working at home can be such a big challenge, especially if there are kids around. But the same thing actually applies if you have pets – that’s what one netizen discovered after his dog keeps interrupting his Zoom meetings to ask for kisses and treats.
Julian Santos is a graphics designer in Pasig City. Just like many workers around the world, he now works from home due to the COVID-19 crisis. While working from home is considered as the perfect setup by many, there are actually a number of challenges that workers face when they work from home.
For Julian, his challenge comes in the form of constant interruptions from his fur baby, a 1-year-old Rottweiler named Bonzo. A sweet but super clingy dog, Bonzo keeps following him around the house. When it is time for him to work or attend team meetings, Bonzo is also there to provide support. But the adorable dog also interrupts him a lot to ask for kisses and treats.
It’s so adorable!
“He follows me wherever I go and he feels uneasy whenever I’m not there. Due to my work from home situation, I have to participate in several Zoom meetings a week and he isn’t shy about making an appearance every now and then to ask for treats and/or head scratches and belly rubs,” Julian shared.
Though Julian appears to be annoyed in some of the photos, it is clear that he’s just so used to Bonzo interrupting his work that he doesn’t really mind having the dog beside him.
“Even though he bumps into me all the time and licks my face a lot, he actually takes away a lot of the stress from work,” he explained.
“Having a dog around is a huge commitment, financially, physically, and mentally, but they more than make up for it with the love they give you.”
Julian added that his workmates are also used to seeing Bonzo joining their meetings. Perhaps they would soon let him join as their official mascot? What a cutie…
