Despite his advanced age, an 80-year-old man still drives a motorcycle with a heavy makeshift kitchen so he could sell sandwiches to support himself. His sad plight recently went viral as netizens are trying to help find his family so that someone can take care of him…
On Facebook page Soulusi, photos of the old man went viral. In the post, the old man could be see preparing something from behind a makeshift oven that’s attached to his motorcycle. The vehicle appears to have seen better days, but like its old owner, this motorcycle appears to be trying its best to survive.
Even if he is old, this vendor continues to sell sandwiches because there is no one else to help him out. He lost his wife a long time ago, and they didn’t have children. He also didn’t know where his other relatives are or whether there’s still someone who could remember him.
“I’m already 80 years old and I’m alone with no one to take care of me. I don’t want anything, just hope that I can stay healthy so that I can take care of myself,” he said.
Every day, he drives his motorcycle to ICC Pudu, a popular market in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Then, he would fire up the charcoal oven as he prepares to roast the freshly prepared sandwiches. His oven had the name “Winson Berger” written on it.
According to World of Buzz, he might be old but his movements are still quick as he prepares the sandwiches. This is something he attributes to the more than 40 years that he has been preparing and selling sandwiches from his makeshift motorcycle.
The old man lives in a rented room but would go to ICC Pudu to sell the sandwiches every day. Netizens are now trying to share his story in hopes that other family members might find him. At his age, it would be better if he doesn’t drive this motorcycle with a heavy oven at the back…
