A 51-year-old mom gets pregnant with her daughter’s child, helping the younger woman solve her infertility struggles that’s affected her for so many years.
Infertility is actually quite common, but this is a topic that many people usually refuse to talk about as openly as other problems. These days, however, more and more people are open to talk about this topic, in hopes of finding a solution that could help their problem.
Thanks to advances in science as well as better laws governing surrogacy, it is now possible to have a child who’s 100% the offspring of a couple but carried by another woman. In surrogacy, the woman whose egg was used to create the embryo is the one officially and legally recognized as the mother, not the surrogate who carries the baby to full term.
Finding a surrogate is a crucial factor, considering that what she does in the next 9 months would have direct effect on the baby!
Breanna Lockwood of Chicago, Illinois has always wanted to have kids but at 29, she still hasn’t gotten pregnant. She has experienced two miscarriages, one ectopic pregnancy, and four embryo transfer failures. That’s not to mention the countless injections, surgical procedures, and so many stuff they had to go through just to have a child.
Acknowledging that they just might never have a child on their own if they didn’t find a surrogate to carry the baby for them, the Breanna and her husband Aaron sought advice from Breanna’s mother. Instead of helping them find someone to carry the baby, she offered to do it for them!
At 51 years old, Julie Loving, might not be the most ideal person to become the couple’s surrogate, but she had always wanted to do this for her daughter. While they refused in the past, they now agreed following tests that proved she is capable of being a surrogate for her daughter’s baby.
“Made with a lot of love, and a little bit of science… Baby Lockwood will be brought into this world via GESTATIONAL CARRIER, and this little miracle’s carrier is quite a special one. MY MOM,” Breanna announced.
“My mom will be carrying and delivering our baby!”
The little child is due this November. And while many people are commenting that Julie is too old to be a surrogate mom, the marathon runner and triathlete proves them all wrong! She even got pregnant on the first try…
