Woman Gives Birth Minutes after Taking Physician Board Exams, Passes Test

A young woman recently wowed netizens after she took the board exams while in active labor; then she gave birth just a few minutes after taking the last test – and she still managed to pass the test to become a licensed doctor! Wow. Isn’t she incredible?

Eunice Stefanelle Atianzar Sibuyan had a difficult pregnancy and was advised for bed rest, but the busy medical student did not have time to take a long rest. She had plenty of things to do to complete her medical degree and become a licensed doctor, something that she had dreamed about her entire life.

But Sibuyan had the most challenging time of her life when her baby decided to make his grand entrance while she was taking the Physician Licensure Exams.

A week before the ‘big day’, Sibuyan was already 60% and 1-2 cm dilated when she visited her OB-Gyne. This meant that she would soon be giving birth, yet she wasn’t ready for that to happen this close to the board exams.

While Sibuyan felt somewhat confident that the baby would hold on for another week, she grew anxious when she began spotting and started feeling like she was having menstrual cramps. These were sure signs that labor was on the way, but she still had two more days of exams left!

At 2AM on the last day of the exams, Sibuyan’s bag of water broke! She heard the bag of water pop but decided not to tell anyone, knowing fully well they would rush her to the hospital. As doctor, she was able to monitor her child’s movements and heart tones inside her womb while she took the test – and that was the advantage of her being a doctor.

But the baby was truly ready to get out. As she started the day’s exams, coincidentally the OB-Gyne test, she was already experiencing regular contractions every 15 to 30 minutes. She completed the test in an hour before taking a break and still monitoring the baby’s condition.

The second test was harder to take as she was already having trouble shading the test paper due to the pain she was experiencing, yet she continued to stay quiet.

She did her best to stay calm so the proctors won’t realize she was already in active labor, even though she was having contractions every 3 minutes while taking the last test. She completed the test in 20 minutes, then hurriedly left the room but knew she would not make it to the hospital even if they catch the fastest cab.

Lucky for Sibuyan, the testing center had a hospital. She was taken to the hospital where they learned that she was already fully dilated and very much ready to give birth. It was 3:15PM when she was taken to the delivery room, but by 3:28PM the baby was already out! Wow.

Had she given birth an hour earlier, she wouldn’t have completed the test. The last day of the Physician board exams was the most memorable one for Sibuyan as she had given birth to Graeden Euri just minutes after the test.

Three days later, everyone was ecstatic to learn that despite the difficulties she faced while struggling with labor as she took the licensure exams, she passed! This was certainly the best double celebration.

After spending more than 12 hours in the womb after the water broke, Euri suffered from neonatal sepsis and had to be admitted back at the hospital a few days later, yet this little guy quite a strong fighter.

It’s incredible that Sibuyan still passed the difficult Physician licensure exams despite being in labor while she took the tests – and it was also amazing that baby Euri managed to survive despite everything he had been through since the beginning of the pregnancy… Congratulations to you both!
