An image of a woman’s transformation, from losing 100 pounds to weighing 30 pounds heavier five years later, has become viral online as she celebrates getting heavier.
Hannah Foster, a 25-year-old lady from Sacramento, California, has posted two pictures of herself online—one taken in 2012, after a 100 pounds weight loss and when she was at her skinniest, and another one taken last April during a trip to Hawaii.
Transformations aren’t always what they seem. The picture on the right is after losing almost 100 pounds in 2012. It was one of the first times I had ever allowed anyone to take a picture of me in a bikini (and only because it was my first time swimming in the ocean)
She added that the girl on the left hated herself vastly more than the girl on the right, even though she weighed 30 pounds less than the girl on the right and that she was in a nasty relationship, living abroad and lonely. Furthermore, Hannah goes on to say that she still hated her body despite losing weight.
Losing weight won’t make you love yourself.
She further elaborates that the picture on the right is after 25 years of realizing that losing 5 pounds will not make her a better person and it will not make her like herself.
“Most importantly,” she added, “it won’t make me happy, I go to the gym, I eat healthy, but it’s not for weight loss; it’s because I only get one body and I want to use it as long as possible.”
