This Photographer Spent 6 Hours Taking Photos of the Wrong Couple

Jacob Peters, a photographer shared his unforgettable experience during a photo shoot that was meant to capture a romantic proposal.

He received a message from a man from Wisconsin who was planning to propose to his girlfriend at Hawks Bill Craig in Arkansas, USA, at sunrise.

He left home at 2:30 am and arrived at the park at around 4:45 am; then he hiked uphill with his camera gear that weighs 30lbs. His phone served as his light and there’s no signal at the area.

At around 6:17 am, he saw a young couple and assumed that it was the man who called him.

“They go up onto hawksbill crag. Hang out for a few minutes and then it happens. He pulls out a ring, kneels down behind her. She turns around and starts crying and hugs him and it’s obvious she said yes and all went well.”

So he just took photos of the couple. When the couple sat down and watch the sunrise, he assessed that his job was done so he packed and went home.

Before he fell asleep at 9am, he texted the man doing the proposal and congratulated him and told him that the photos were beautiful.

He was surprised when he read the man’s reply as soon as he woke up…

His reply was: “I’m confused, we never saw you and we got there a little late, are you sure it was us? I was in a blue plaid shirt…”

He got the wrong couple!

Peters asked help on his Facebook page to find the couple.

Thankfully, the couple has been found and was contacted by Peters and they already have their photos.

“Thank you to everyone who shared. The internet never fails to amaze me.”
