How far will you go when it comes to your studies?
While other kids rely on their parents for everything they need, from tuition fees to allowance and books, there are others who are facing challenges in providing for their own studies.
SUCCEEDING IN LIFE AS A WORKING STUDENT
One of them is Ed Patrick Sacay, a call center agent, who did not let the challenges in life hinder him from graduating.
“PAANO MO KINAYA YUN?”
“PWEDE PALA SA CALL CENTER YUN?”
“PAANO MO NAHAHATI YUNG SCHEDULE MO?” “NATUTULOG KA PA BA?”
These were just a few of the things that Ed often hear from people.
For years, Ed tried faced a lot of challenges:
Going to school and work even without enough sleep.
Answering calls after school or dealing with examinations after work.
Irregular school schedule with different classmates for every subject.
No friends or #collegesquadgoals
However, Ed was still able to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
ACHIEVING HIS GOAL
After a few years of working and studying at the same time, he finally graduated and earned his degree in Business Management.
Ed encourages working students to never give up. Even if the first steps are hard and the end goal feels unreachable, there is nothing impossible if you believe and trust yourself, your skills, and the Lord.
But for sure, the new graduate will not make it without help from his loved ones.
In his lengthy post, Ed thanked his parents, aunt, and sister who supported him in his journey, as well as his colleagues and bosses who allowed him to work and study at the same time.
If you think that there are a lot of challenges in life and you cannot face them, think about how Ed who made it through years of being a working student.
If you believe in yourself, you can achieve your goals too.
