Human Uber Allows You to Hire Someone to Do All the Work For You

Let’s face it: in the fast-paced world today, most of the time, you would wish you can be at two places at the same time to do two different things. Well now, you can!

Let Someone Do Things for You

A Japanese tech titan named Rekimoto Labs invented a way to get someone else does all the things you need to do and don’t want to do. Their latest invention, the Chameleon Mask, is a specially developed screen that is strapped to another person’s face, allowing them to do things on your behalf.

Invented by researcher Jun Rekimoto, the Chameleon Mask allows you to just sit in the corner of your home or do another task while a “human Uber” will do all your commands. This person will dress in your clothes and do what you tell them to do.

Say your friend needs help moving, but you don’t want to go lug boxes around all day. Just hire someone to do the moving for you while you beam your face onto a Chameleon Mask from the comfort of your bed and offer words of encouragement. Or maybe your son has a baseball game that you can’t quite make? Someone in Chameleon Mask will go sit in the stands so you can cheer him on remotely. Chameleon Mask recommends getting a surrogate who has a similar body type.

More Advanced Features

The mask also features a built-in communicator so while you are finishing your latest report or bingeing on Netflix, you can instruct the other person in precise details. This allows the wearer to attend functions and events, run errands, and do tedious tasks that you can’t stuff with.

The mask-shaped display shows a remote user’s live face and a voice channel transmits their voice.

Although telepresence systems like this have been invented before, they are mounted on robots, which could be controlled via remote. Rekimoto claims that the difference with the Chameleon Mask is that it gives a more complete experience as the surrogate is a person who dresses as instructed and can easily comprehend the instructions.
