As the old adage goes, “It’s better late than never.”
This is also the life motto of comedian and host Arnell Ignacio, who recently reached another milestone in his life. At 55 years old, Ignacio proved that he can still finish his college education.
To all delayed students who are still waiting for their graduation, hang in there!
For Ignacio, it took him almost four decades before acquiring his Bachelor’s degree. That’s quite a stretch, but in the end, he eventually arrived at his goal.
It was way back in 1981 when the host graduated from high school. Thirty-eight years later, he finally finished his degree in political science specializing in local government administration.
He was among the hundreds of newly grads in the University of Makati who attended their commencement ceremony last week.
Before dabbling in political science, Ignacio also pursued a musical program at the University of the Philippines College of Music, major in composition and conducting. However, he was not able to finish his degree at the time.
His college graduation day is long overdue, but his victory is sweeter than ever!
On Facebook, Ignacio proudly shared his achievement with his fans and followers. Along with his graduation photo, he also shared an insightful message to his fans:
“Last graduation ko 1981 high school. Ang tagal ko nag-college. 2019 ang graduation. This is truly a masteral of life. Finally at 55. Ba in political science major in local government admin.”
Among those people who celebrated Ignacio’s victory is his family. During his graduation day, his family held a little surprise at their house. After coming home from the ceremony, Arnel was greeted with a festive party.
On the other hand, his fans on social media also expressed their congratulatory wishes to the new grad.
